Musk’s post comes as his xAI company is currently suing Apple and OpenAI over their partnership to bring ChatGPT in as an add-on to Siri and to Apple Intelligence features.
According to Musk, their partnership has been preempting competitors such as Grok from having a fair shot at the App Store. Despite being widely discredited, the allegation is scheduled to proceed after surviving dismissal attempts from both Apple and OpenAI.
A pet peeve of mine is how wrongly Grok is named. It’s a word invented in the novel Stranger in a Strange Land, and it means to understand something entirely. It’s a fucking verb! That manchild failed to make his reference correctly, he’s that incompetent.
These tech bros completely miss the themes of sci-fi novels and only crave the cool stuff.
