  • It was pretty impressive, I remembered wondering if that was something Americans got to do that we didn’t in Australia. Seems like other than a few localised experiments in some states it was fiction even for the yanks at the time. I must say I actually still think it’s pretty dope doing that. I liked the little remote controlled fireplace screensaver too. Seemed very cosy.

  • I wonder sometimes what it’s like exactly, being in the Cheeto guy’s head because the idea that he and Elon would have a falling out eventually just seemed so utterly predictable to me, some guy, that it’s sort of hard wrap my head around how he could fail to see this coming. People will say o shouldn’t be surprised, it’s not complicated, he’s just dumb but like, this isn’t like a policy thing, it’s not that I’m surprised he didn’t expect his ideas to fail it’s just this personal relationship was so clearly not to last because of what both these guys are like and I’d have thought this should be obvious to Trump himself from prior experiences with people. It was never going to work where the new friend and political ally views himself as at least an equal, Trump’s obviously going to hate that.

  • Hahaha that’s gold. It’s kind of hard for me to accept anybody really believes that. Feels like some disingenuous conviction there or deliberately not examining the statement because they know on at least one level it’s too completely illogical to be true but then again there are some people who’ve had such serious distortions to their reasoning over time that they’re not even lying anymore when they claim to believe this stuff.

  • I’m surprised he chose to express his point in this manner. Unless this is an expression of humanity from Mr Musk that we’re so otherwise unaccustomed to that it’s hard to recognise, then I assume he wants to persuade people to have less empathy or sympathy for homeless people, not more. This statement, taken at face value would seem to suggest that contrary to what some may think, homeless people are facing significant challenges not of their own making that have contributed directly to their circumstances.

I’m going to guess that’s not how he meant it
