For me, daylight pics were after all of the pixels but before anything else. I like the more neutral not supremely over-saturated over-sharpened/smoothed pictures that many phones take nowadays.

For me, it was middle of the pack for dimly lit photos.

For the overall ELO with everyone, FP5 was on the mid-lower end (of a comparison of all flagships + pixel A series), but perfectly usable for people who aren’t doing social media as a job.

It really really calls into question if they are lying about their company’s values and it is just marketing. People seem to give them extra leeway because they are swiss and the whole “neutrality” BS, but nestle is one of the worst companies in the entire world and they are swiss 😅

I would like to see the stats on that. A lot of times people who are in the industry or know someone in it see their wages and others’ wages going up and say “wages went up with inflation” where the starting wage or the wage normalized to seniority level actually hasn’t changed much at all. For example, in engineering like electriical (outside of silicon valley in the US which has its own economical wage ecosystem) has had entry level positions that have gone up around 20% since the 2008 while inflation has gone up almost 50% since 2008 and productivity has skyrocketed with CAD advancements.

People are literally poorer because of the massively increased wealth inequality coming from employers shoving down wages while making yearly record profits…

The fingerprint reader slowly stopped working 6 months ago via a prolific software bug that is all over forums for xperias that will never be fixed.

The battery (even ONLY charging it to 80% using battery care) is horrific after a few years, mediocre when I got it and the standby time is shit. It loses 1.5-2% battery per hour not being used at all now. I get maybe 4h SOT browsing (much less with video).

The default camera app is crap and not even worth using…

I want to try lineageOS when I get the time to see if it fixes the battery and fingerprint reader, but here in Belgium we really need access to our bank apps because almost everything is done through there.

I think one difference is that men often have no support structures at all, and certainly not with levels of physical or emotional connection. There is a huge gap between making small, sometimes very cool and creative even, projects and understanding a giant legacy codebase in a language that is not taught anymore. I mean, even university grads often have trouble learning legacy code, much less in COBOL.
