I interviewed for a company working on this project. Their goal is still jet fuel but with greatly increased efficiency by replacing components traditionally driven by the shaft (such as the intake and compressor) with electrically driven systems that in turn take load off of the generator. The net increase in efficiency more than balances out the cost of the electrically driven components, thus increasing the efficiency of the entire system.

Feels like an engineering wet dream, but i was willing to take their money and tell them how smart they sounded lol predictably, the project is waiting on more funding

Tin snips is a poor choice for cutting braided security wire. These are for cutting soft to mild sheet metals, but youre going to struggle with anything tougher than banding steel.

Youd want either the wire cutters above or small bolt cutters for security wire like OP

Bosses swinger flinger wanted me to sign a write up for changing clothes before end of shift. It was actually a write up because I made safety complaints about the mold growing in our changing room walls. Extra funny because her position at the company (when not riding the owner) was technically safety officer, so calling out obvious safety issues made her and the boss look bad.

Called in my union rep who explained donning and doffing time (especially in industries requiring PPE) and how time to change was legally required. Owner just couldn’t accept being wrong and changed it to a write up for insubordination because I didnt do what I was told and the rep told me to just sign it, so I did. Later, I was fired for “insubordination” in making another safety complaint to the safety officer (about the safety officer) calling out a lack of PPE in an active work zone. She responded by threatening me in front of witnesses and the company is now stuck in arbitration with my union about it. Very fun but also incredibly boring

The only time I’ve had my car broken into was a local homeless guy breaking out my window to steal a hoodie. Left the iPod hanging out of the car by the auxiliary cable. The worst part was the car was unlocked. You could have just taken the sweater my dude.

Good mythical morning was never a good show. Rhett and Link are two of the worst examples of neurodivergence being repackaged as funny or quirky. Those two are both so disconnected from reality I’m honestly shocked there’s not more industry gossip around working with them.
