It’s not a tightrope walk, a friendship is built on mutual respect. Feeling left out and lonely because there is no reciprocation whatsoever is normal. Calling this OP’s fault is extremely toxic, holy shit. If it’s a tightrope walk, you didn’t wanna be friends from the very beginning and are bad at communicating your intent.

You still have to maintain a middle ground, and blaming the other for a lack of interest like OP’s meme seems to imply, is not the correct way of doing things either. That is also extremely toxic, and it’s the kind of behavior I mainly see people who tend to smother or cling to others engage in. Being smothering or clingy is not even remotely healthy and will absolutely drive people away.

It’s a tightrope walk. Put in too much effort and you risk pushing them away. Not enough effort and they lose interest. That is also why, in my experience, it is a good idea to have multiple friends. If you’re someone who needs a lot of attention, it allows you to have multiple sources of attention without being smothering towards one person.

I have a lot of trans Texas friends, few of us have any decent options to leave. A fun fact: Texas ranks 2nd when it comes to % of trans people. Yet we have no voice, and a big part of that is thanks to how fucked the Texas voting districts are. That’s why a trans person in Dallas can be decently safe, but a gay person in Tyler will get their knee kicked in by a neo-nazi in broad daylight (this actually happened to someone I know, they have to walk with a cane now and they aren’t even 21); yet cities barely end up with any blue politicians at a state or federal level.

The number one thing I’ve been missing are Spotify jams. Spotify also has a wider selection of music, but tbh it’s rare for Spotify to have something that Qobuz doesn’t. Spotify also has lyrics, playlist folders, and audiobooks; though tbh I haven’t checked to see if Qobuz has the latter.

I love Qobuz. Also for those of you trying to boycott US goods, it’s a French company. I just wish it had the same adoption and features as Spotify.

Honestly? I’d rather have Bowser over any real world dictator. Bowser actually gives half a fuck about his minions and domain, while looking sexy as hell in the process. That’s a step up from the “real deal”.
