





My excuse these days is… I already built the damned thing. If there’s a game I want to play I can just upgrade it for (in most cases) less than the cost of a console + game to play the new game I want. PC gaming offers a lot of flexibility in that way.


ITT: people defending their 4K/8K display purchases as if this study was a personal attack on their financial decision making.


I work for local government and we were recently ordered to return to office because leadership was concerned we would look “lazy” to the public if we were allowed to work from home… I don’t work directly with the public in any shape or form. On top of that I’m geographically located about 1.5 hours from the rest of my team so I report to a different office than they do, so we still meet on Teams.


Maybe “obtaining” wasn’t the right word. I’ve been buying music from iTunes and Amazon.


Ah, feels good to know I just set up my Navidrome server and have been obtaining my entire music library for personal streaming.
Yeah, in theory it’s great but every time I try it people just cut in front of me then slam on brakes causing me to have to brake then adjust then repeat ad nauseam. People suck.
