Could be referring to setting up a pi-hole? That’s a more involded process and I believe would be necessary if you mainly use YouTube TV.

I think it’s much more effective to support them by giving 5 dollars to their Patreon or buy an item of their merch. (assuming they have either) from what I’ve heard, ad revenue is next to nothing.

I haven’t heard much about them, but there are services like peertube, odysee, and kick. Personally I think popularizing grayjay is the first step towards dethroning YouTube since everything stays in one app it’s easier to follow anyone that switches.
