I really want to do this, but I have yet to find a self-hosted app that has the features from iTunes that I love: smart playlists (with an easy to edit interface), play stats (last played, last skipped, play counts skip count), and editable metadata (can change genres of the a song or several songs within the app).
Easily editable smart playlists would be table stakes for me. I can get by without the rest, though I’d be less happy than with iTunes.
(Please somebody prove me wrong so I can go back to self hosting my music library)
Definitely clickbait. The phrase “send texts” as it’s been used for the past quarter century means “sms texts” or maybe “text messages to other people on mobile phone networks”, which is not at all what this is.

This really made me want to find a BASIC emulator and a collection of old programs and introduce them to my kids. Infeelnlike LUA is the modern BASIC. I just picked up Replicube and plan to use it to introduce my daughter to LUA.

Rich people at tech companies replace workers with AI, set up a security force that goes after immigrants, surveil the city with a camera network, try to remove the human from the equation, try to upload human consciousness to the cloud, lots of other AI tech dystopian stuff.
