Many people don’t believe in it. It’s easy to understand why.

I wouldn’t take any kind of advice from Friedman…
People usually align those things better.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Twitch: "Hey, come back! This commercial break can't play while you're away."
11·6 days agoOh, right! As everybody knows, 2013 was years before the 1980s decade, and so this is the original source that inspired the movie!

17·6 days agoIt’s from Demolition Man. An 80s sci-fi/action movie.
What do you mean “nowadays”? Weren’t the ancient Egyptians all pokemon fans? What else did they play on their phones?

25·9 days agoLPT: If it tells you to “drop and run”, it’s because the owner is trying to stop you from stealing it.
But take a close look to be sure. Some less valuable sticks look very similar but lack the warning.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•My girlfriend found a cool vintage tube of lipstick
21·9 days agoIt would be all over the photo, though.
It absorbs all kinds of things, and even just absorbing an entire bunch of water is already enough to harm you.
It won’t kill you though. Just slightly harm.

2·13 days agoI asked him why, after going to all the trouble and expense of trying to convincingly fake the moon landings, would NASA install fans.
Otherwise the flag would fall flat, duh.
(\s for whoever thinks this isn’t absurd enough.)
They are quite common livestock all over the world.
And exotic to Florida, so calling them “endangered” is completely meaningless.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•I heard we're doing leftist infighting just in time for the election again, oh joy!
151·16 days agoWhat is even more interesting is that the defeat has been vehemently declared before even the parties named their candidates.
Now excuse me, because US politics are interesting and so, but I need to make popcorn to watch my country’s electoral court respond to the police about their involvement on what is looking like the largest corruption scheme in the country’s history (what’s a really high bar) while they manage what is looking to be the second most polarized election of the century.
I’m either completely out of touch (what’s perfectly possible), or this one is very simple to explain and wouldn’t surprise the mother of a boy in the least.
Very few things are as fake as AI… and my best guess is most of them frequent some national Congress building.
Writing that PDF into an USB device or into a new file are basically the same thing…

31·25 days agoYou can make the niche without the pit. Unless you have some reason at all to use the different level, it’s completely unnecessary.
I dunno what part the evolution deniers don’t believe in, but I imagine it’s more on the “combination of traits” one.
