I know you have good intentions but I would say the US needs drop in hybrid motors to convert older vehicles. I can’t afford a new car for the next 10-20 years even if I sold both of my cars.

I’d rather have a multi-fuel hybrid for emergencies; something that can run petrol, oil, diesel, ethanol, propane, kerosene, and wood gas. There are times where something like that is needed. Like powering a fridge and AC when a disaster takes out the power grid. I can tell you it wasn’t fun not having power for two weeks. I really liked the EV car idea of powering your house but what happens after you drain the battery? And look I live in a place that’s dumb enough when the power goes out, there’s a mandatory shutoff box for your solar panels in these events.

One day I took a lunch, looked up and enjoyed the blossom season begin.

My friend told me a funny story about the place we would get breakfast at in Ireland. He comes in, and the girls at the counter are chatting about something, the owner comes out and has a chat with him, they catch up and he mentions yeah I’m getting some breakfast. The funny part is the owner say oh wait a few minutes the girls are having a chat. Completely different lifestyle. I enjoyed my time there, should probably go visit next year.

I went to the store today and felt bad for the girl standing at attention overlooking the self checkout. Probably counting down the seconds until some sort of interaction. And people wonder why society went down hill with socializing. I’d probably go Postal if I had to stand there for hours. It’s one thing if you enlist, but this is a grocery store.
