91·24 days agoI’m an EE at a major electronics developer and manufacturer. My company’s IT encourages Linux use and even gives us the option to decide what distribution to install, though RHEL is the only one they “officially” provide tech support for. I’ve been running Debian as my daily driver for several years.
I’m rambling and completely missed the point of your comment. I’m just happy we have that option and wish they supported it everywhere.

8·2 months agoReddit is even worse on mobile. They’ve moved to putting up a banner that tells you to use the app. On iOS, it kills the scroll, and swiping to go back doesn’t work. Go to the app? Fuck you, log in. Desktop mode is rough on mobile and they’re already talking about nuking old.reddit.com now.

Lane assist that pulls you into a pothole you moved over to dodge and loses its collective shit if the lines change.
Collision detection that flips out and hits the brakes to avoid a car that just completed its turn.
Blind spot monitoring that screams at you in a turn lane.
