- It’s a nice distraction from reality, and it’s fun to comment and post and have people upvote or reply. Makes me feel a little less lonely. :) - Same. I’m stuck in an area where locals view me as an outsider, and loneliness is an ever-present threat. Scrolling is just one of the many ways I keep myself feeling human and connected to the larger world.

There are lots of lonely people out here… help solve each-others problem. - Discord gets a lot of shit, probably rightfully so, but it’s genuinely helped me find a lot of casual connections that not just distracted me, but helped me learn more about something I like, or sometimes even somthing about myself.
