Same. I’m stuck in an area where locals view me as an outsider, and loneliness is an ever-present threat. Scrolling is just one of the many ways I keep myself feeling human and connected to the larger world.

Discord gets a lot of shit, probably rightfully so, but it’s genuinely helped me find a lot of casual connections that not just distracted me, but helped me learn more about something I like, or sometimes even somthing about myself.
Because I don’t want to give the boomer in line behind me at Costco an opportunity to start a conversation.
But its the magical moments like these that keep me scrolling. That and my potty break what else am I going to do?
