For me it comes down to “do I want pay for this product so it sticks around?”. If yes then I have to trust the org that makes it to be reasonably sensible. They’re probably going to do a better job of putting the money in the right place to stay in business than I am.

1·11 months agoExactly. The key thing is the differentiation of sex (biology) and gender (social). A bathroom for women can be used by all women, even those who happen to have male bodies. It also clarifies the difference between transsexual and transgender - most transgender people are not transsexual.

Explain Like I'm Five@lemmy.world•If Trumps tariffs go thru would that not cause the countries the tariffs are imposed on just raise their prices? And a result of that hurt the american consumer? Why do it to begin with?English
10·1 year agoThe way you improve the lot of foreign workers (a good idea) is by putting in place trade agreements that mandate worker protections. “You can only sell us cheap widgets if the working conditions are reasonable “. Two further points. 1 - with tariffs the worker exploitation continues, the goods just cost more (see example above) and 2 - look at the vibrant and dynamic US motorcycle industry for an example of the long term consequences of being insulated from competition.

What are they starting to do that is shady and why do you think don’t respect privacy? (I couldn’t see anything on the document you mentioned)
Why?
Completely agree!
Right click Onedrive Icon, settings, sync and backup, Manage Backup, turn off what ever you don’t want backed up. At that point all your desktop / document content will disappear (looks like Microsoft linked the normal and Onedrive folders, which is a useful trick occasionally) so move everything out of Onedrive back into your normal folders
It is shit but it’s easy to turn off.
