I’m past 60 now, and still no HL3! Can they do something about that?!

Older user here: My iPhone 12 mini is plenty big enough for me. I was happy with the iPhone 4, really.

Preachin’ to the choir over here.
I avoid it all as much as I can.
As some who has barely ever drank, never smoked anything and never used any other recreational drug, I find I know a lot about drug use, simply through osmosis (roommates, GFs, co-workers), reading, movies, etc. Or, at least more than I would expect.

We all know it’s a much better system. Reagan killed our attempt at switching. No one has tried since.
Personally, I use metric for 3D printing, and I use imperial for wood working. Until standardized material sizes change, it doesn’t make sense to use metric for wood working. That change needs to come from the top, from government regulation.
No deviled eggs for you!

The fuck?
The SS isn’t going to stop you from killing yourself, that never works. Also, please KYS.
“Alcohol. The cause of, and solution to all of life’s problems.” ~Homer, the philosopher.
If you’re not good in relationships, it’s best to figure that out, and accept it sooner rather than later. Also, blaming the end of a relationship entirely on the other person, and going on blissfully unaware of your own issues is a good way to repeat your failures. It takes two to tango, take responsibility for your half of the relationship and your mistakes. Decide whether you want to change those things about yourself, if that’s even possible, and be aware of what you do in relationships when picking your next potential mate.
To shreds, even?! My goodness!

I wonder how the Washington Post feels about it?
I don’t mind it. I mostly block out whatever is playing over the PA in stores, anyway.
I expect she’s sick of hearing her own song in this universe. I dunno how often she performs it live, if at all, but that would add to the misery.
Not sick of the royalties, mind you, just of hearing the song.

Counterpoint:

Papasan chair. Originally made of sturdy rattan, and the seat bowl was separate from the base, allowing it to change in angle. Yes, the cheap versions are crap.
The papasan chair gained popularity in the west when American World War II veterans brought them home from Asia. During the 1960s, the chairs became a favorite among college students due to their low price and unconventionality. The chair was introduced by Pier 1 Imports in 1975 and soon became one of the retailer’s iconic products. Towards the end of the twentieth century, the papasan had become a common piece of furniture in American homes.
Confirmed:

It’s a bit surprising how many CEO’s express disdain for their users and employees.
When employees are reduced to an “input resource” number on a spreadsheet, and they sit insulated from user complaints, and likely surround themselves with sycophants, I suppose it’s inevitable.
Power corrupts, you can see it all around us once you start looking.
I suppose there was a time when a stool in a phone booth wouldn’t be stolen immediately? Maybe that was a time when most people were paid an actual thriving wage? Or maybe it was just an affluent area. I dunno, but that was interesting to me.

If it can be done, they will do it. Power is unconstrained by ethics, empathy, or morality. Never assume that anyone in power shares these traits with the rest of us, they do not.
The only thing that constrains power is enforced laws with teeth.
