i’d define it as size of an svg file that represents the flag, since more complex flag -> more fundamental elements (rectangles, circles) needed -> bigger file size -> more entropy.
if you’re that online, you should consider going offline more, tbh, meeting people irl is great :P
i’m not a fan of it at all, it was a country of rapists the way they invaded their neighboring countries.

humancomputer rights department?
You know what, why wouldn’t it be the same on all social media platforms? Maybe our news are all posted by bots/bangladesh people too?

25·12 days agoTBF accounts coming from “Nigeria” and “Bangladesh” are probably not actually foreigners sitting there and writing english messages on social media one-by-one. It’s either bots behind VPNs, or people behind VPNs. And they could absolutely be within the US.

4·12 days agoi’ve said before that we’re faced with two options:
- either introduce a system that can tell you what account is run by an actual human being and which account is not. that could be done in an anonymity-preserving way with codes that you have to get in person (like, from a local library) and then use as a cryptographic signature for online accounts. it’s a bit techy, but doable.
- or we accept that machines casually pass the Turing Test and we’re probably talking to AIs online.

Technology@lemmy.world•RAM is so expensive that stores are selling it at market pricesEnglish
3·12 days agoYeah, i think the correct response to planned obsolescence from the side of computer manufacturers is to exclusively buy products from companies who have produced long-living machines in the past.
That gives manufacturers an incentive to make the machines they produce last longer, instead of shorter to sell newer products more frequently.

4·12 days agoYou can have a 12G text file, logs, suppose, you are going to load the entire file into memory?
That’s actually done via
journalctltoday, most of the time. Which extracts the logs out from a database instead of a text file. It has some useful features, such as slicing a specific time interval from the logs.

42·12 days agoThis is really about how much abstraction you have in your thinking. I’ve seen people be very heavily on the #1 side when i was a kid, and it was always baffling to me that people seem to be unable to talk about objects if they don’t have very detailed descriptions of superficial details that seemed completely irrelevant to me.

I have an internal dialogue.
cottage cheese and mozzarella are indeed milk colored
yeah i somehow completely forgot about them lol, you’re right
well, i live in central europe, where cheese is still a natural product (unlike whatever the hell is called “cheese” in america), and i’ve never seen cheese that’s the same color as milk (on the inside, below the crust). it’s mostly yellow or yellow-white.
