You merely adopted the N-word. I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn’t leave the Xbox live CS lobby until I was already a man.

This is at the very least a shitpost. Most of them are thinly veiled political discussions.

I geniuenly think that this big censorship of n-word around the world is result of american cultural imperialism. Only americans should think it is offensive word and maybe other english-natives, but not like the entire world. :My problem is that i dont want this word to exist. It just annoys me, that I have to be so prudish, because some cultures enslaved black people. Apparently there are more than western countries in the world, and none of them need to loan a racial slur, so we can carry this further with us. My language never did so. And loaning yet another racial slur because we are gringos is not the best thing i think.

Are you dumb or just uninformed?

At least here in germany the Nazis heavily used it and gassed blacks, no american influence need to make decent people avoid it.

If so, avoid it. Idc about german case, there is some other languages that likely use it as a slur, but the main source of it is america. You see, in Estonia, ‘neeger’ used to mean any black guy, without being racial slur. But recently it was considered slur, because teenagers influenced by american culture started using it as a slur, eventually leading to its ban. And I dont mind , it just now i have to unnaturally replace it with two much longer words. And I see this as a useless adoption, the less words have offensive meaning, the better.

"We previously had a casual, low-key racism that no one minded! Everyone was perfectly fine with that arrangement. Until the youths stumbled into a way to get attention by making it more racist! I didn’t want it to be more racist, it was the right amount of racist before! And as I said, everyone was fine with it!

Anyway regardless I’ll still call them neegers. Those Americans with their influence can’t take that from me."

Just an unbelievably trash hill to stake your vomit-tier flag on, but sure, go off.

Here’s a question, why are all the “I’m Estonian!” announcers I ever stumble into, always just simultaneously, proactively finding the worst possible takes to give, upon their own introduction/announcement? The fuck is up with that “type” of y’all?

We previously had a casual, low-key racism that no one minded

A certified USian braindead take, from a typical USian thinking their view of the world is the only possible one. As the commenter above has said, words derived from ‘negro’ just mean black people around the world. If you’re so dense as to think any word meaning ‘black’ is racist, then you must stop using ‘black’ altogether, and also euphemisms like ‘dark’ too. And stop using ‘white’ since it’s contrasted with ‘black’.

But who am I kidding? USians do actually think everyone must do exactly that, by eliminating words like ‘blacklist’ and ‘whitelist’. Next, they’ll insist that ‘black metal’ and ‘Black plague’ are racist, and that darkness must stop being associated with death and evil spirits, and that being afraid of darkness is racist.

          no American influence

Well, yes and no. Hitler did love all the racism we were so good at, so he did copy our notes pretty extensively. But yes, no American exceptionalism was exported for this crime against humanity, just imported.

Ofc facists around the world influence each other, but thinking Americans invented it? You ever heard of colonialism? Where the n word was invented? Yeah that’s a European invention not american.

Not only is this not censorship, it is functionally a different word entirely. The spelling matters here.

You serious? The word has been used for a loooong time to demean and dehumanize a hroup of people. It’s only recently been reclaimed by that group of people. The thing is, I a white person saying the word with or without the hard R. Is very different than a black person saying it.

There is no pass, there is no saying it in private or because it’s a lyric in a song. I had a significant black influence on my life through my step dad and his family and later my wife and her family. I’ve seen amd heard the words used against them amd them saying it amongst eachother. I was even given a talk when I was very young explaining it when I said it.

Stucks and stones they say, well that’s just not true. Words havr power including that one. I can’t really tell if the person in the video is a black person but the context changes.

They’re talking about the use of words derived from ‘negro’ around the world, where they just meant ‘black people’ for centuries. But of course, USians can’t imagine that other cultural contexts than their own exist anywhere, so the language usage must function exactly the same way as it does in the US, right?

Eventually ban of the word made it stay with us forever lmao. Like i hate racial slurs because they exist and lots of things just help prolonging their existance. And we have like centuries of practice with religious bans on some topics, eventually leading to opposite outcome of what they wanted. Before chrisitanity nude bodies were not as sexualized as they are nowadays. And the same thing can apply to any kind of slurs.

At this point, I am just content not saying the bad word even endearingly in any context, even if I get the pass.

Or many other bad words. It is just better safe than sorry.

‘Negro’ and derived words weren’t ‘bad’ around the world until USians came along insisting that their usage of language is the only one possible and everyone else must follow.

They can’t even see the fucking irony.
