I just don’t like being bothered, I use my phone when I want to use it, not the other way around.

Also, you should definitely lock your phone regardless.

You joke, but you’re not getting my grandma’s stuffed pepper recipe until we celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.

My phone stays in do not disturb mode. I have several people as breakthrough exceptions, but my phone stays on vibrate so even they don’t get full ringers. Notifications for everything but calls and texts are turned off.

I am not hiding anything other than myself from having to deal with humans

For years new model phones required a lock screen. But my Samsung s25 ultra doesn’t require a lock screen! I love it. There’s no passcode on it. But don’t worry, it’s my backup phone and I don’t carry it with me all the time everywhere, so I’m not worried about anybody else getting into it.

If you can’t trust the people around you, why are they in your life?

Snooping on your partner’s phone seems to be pretty normalized on reality tv. I wonder if that has caused it. Seems pretty insane to me

That’s probably because insecure morons make for the best reality TV, not really people I’d take life advice from. I guess other people do 🤷

I love absolute dogshit reality tv but it does make me worried that for sure a lot of people are looking at that garbage and thinking the stuff in it is normal

Yeah like. I’ll google stuff on his phone if it’s within reach and mine’s not but like. I’m not combing through his messages or anything that seems exhausting. That seems like the most normal level of openness to me cuz he’s not afraid but I’m also not looking.

You may trust a part of them without trusting them all.

Also, you may want to hide things to those you trust ; not only for your comfort, but sometimes to do not hurt them in a way that would be too hard for them at a random time.

And finally, you may want to hide some things from your boss and coworkers. They are close to you in your life, but not needingly your close friends.
